It's infested with eelgrass. This is obviously beyond the control of the host, who was fantastic in every way. This host and everything about his property are superb! Just be aware if you plan on boating on Guntersville (especially if you bring your own boat as we did), dealing with the eelgrass is annoying.

  This is a great property for bass fisherman who bring a boat. The “private neighborhood launch” was under constructions and the ramp itself was too sketchy so we took... read more the boat to one of the many more functional launches. They were numerous and very useful. We were there during a winter snow storm for one of the six days and we extended (host graciously allowed) and caught some 5 pounders every day.
